The Hampton's of Long Island are imbued with a light that makes photography there particularly pleasurable, especially in fall and winter. The people who first populated this slice of heaven on earth must have been thus inspired to name their roads so uniquely and curiously. Thanks to their sense of humor, road names like Skuttlehole Road and Two Holes of Water Road make summer traffic ever so slightly less tiresome, as they send a healthy imagination on a joyful journey of discovery and creation.
